DrTech will only perform and provide computer services, repairs, and upgrades as requested by the customer. DrTech will conduct honest, reasonable, and considerate services. The goal is to provide the highest quality of service and support, but specific results cannot be guaranteed.
Computer service/repairs are provided as a service. There may be circumstances under which your computer cannot be repaired. It will have to be rebuilt or upgraded, i.e. age of PC, repair/replacement parts obsolete (memory chips, motherboards, etc.).
The time required to service/repair your computer cannot be predicted.
In the process of working on your computer equipment there is a potential for data loss. You agree that you have made the necessary backup of your data so that, in the event of such a loss, the data can be restored. DrTech is not responsible for data loss.
You authorize DrTech who’s providing the service or repair to install antivirus and any other necessary software on your computer to perform required services. All software will be deleted/uninstalled upon completion of the service.
DrTech is a CompTIA Certified. CE* Service Center and DrTech extensively defends and protects our association and membership with CompTIA.
REPAIRS & SERVICE GURANTEE
All services and repairs are guaranteed for 90 days from the completion/acceptance date on the Service Order Form (SOF). If later found that the service or repair was incorrectly diagnosed by the technician, DrTech will perform the repair/service labor free. Customer will be responsible for any required parts.
REPAIR TIME AND DELIVERY
DrTech will make reasonable efforts to deliver repaired equipment within the estimated time of delivery but does not guarantee that a repair will be completed within a specific period of time. DrTech shall not be liable for any failures or delay in service due to any unusual circumstances beyond its control. DrTech reserves the right to refuse any repair or service at its sole discretion and refund customers money.
Requesting assistance through the Remote Online Technical Assistance (ROTA) service that allows DrTech to remotely access your computer which can facilitate quicker resolution of your technical problem. Allowing a computer-to-computer connection, DrTech may download and use software, gather system data, share control of your computer and access or modify your computer settings. By accepting these terms, you hereby grant DrTech the right to connect to your computer, download needed software, gather system data, to repair your computer. You agree that DrTech has no responsibility or liability under any circumstance at any time for any loss or harm that may arise from or may be related to the Remote Access service.
ACCESSING DATA ON CUSTOMER DEVICES
As part of our required diagnostic testing, certain applications containing customer data may need to be accessed to thoroughly test the device’s functionality. This process is essential to ensuring we have done our due diligence in repairing your device to the best of our ability. This information is never intentionally exposed in any way and will not be mishandled or sold to third party companies for any purpose. DrTech will never transfer or copy data on a customer’s device to any other equipment without customers express consent or unless the operation is required to complete the services requested by the customer.
DATA BACKUP AND RECOVERY SERVICES
In the event of a repair, or any similar circumstances, that requires a device be restored to original settings DrTech will backup data to the best of our ability for a minimum fee of $69 per user account. If data is lost or corrupted during the repair process, through no wrongdoing of the specialist, DrTech will direct affected customers to a reputable data recovery company.
Customer agrees that prior to DrTech servicing of any customer equipment, it is customer’s responsibility to: (1) backup all data, software, information, or other files stored on customer’s computer disk drives, peripherals and (2) remove all compact disks, floppy disks, laser disks, Flash disk, DVDs, or any other media from customer’s product, as applicable. Except as expressly provided for herein, DrTech shall not be liable under any circumstances for any loss, disclosure, alteration, or corruption of any data, software, information, files, compact disks, floppy disks, DVDs, or any other media.
DrTech is an independent, third party repair provider not affiliated with any original manufacturer. DrTech does not have access to Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) parts.
After service is performed, the damaged parts that are replaced during service remain property of customer. DrTech does not provide any recycling services.
OUR GUARANTEE DOES NOT PROTECT AGAINST:
Subsequent mishandling or misuse that causes the frame to bend, twist, or crack, and drops
Subsequent accidental or purposeful drops
Tampering with internal hardware
Damage resulting from attempted customer repairs
Software issues unrelated to the repair
New damages unrelated to the original repair
Any loss of data occurring as a result of the repair – customers are advised to back up all data prior to repair attempt
Damage caused by electric shortage or surge
Our guarantee also does not cover the outcome of a repair if certain pre-repair conditions exist, including, but not limited to::
Existence of known manufacturing and/or performance issues related to the device separate from the repair, as noted prior to the repair
Existence of dents/damage to the frame/screen of the device, as noted prior to the repair
NON-Working, damaged or severed home button/Bio-Metric scanner
Damage caused by electric shortage or surge
RESPONSIBILITY TO PICK-UP DEVICES
If equipment is left with DrTech and is not picked up within 5 working days after services is completed. DrTech will consider your equipment abandoned and may dispose of your equipment in accordance with applicable law. You agree to hold DrTech harmless for any damage or claim for the abandoned property as stated in the signed work order every customer receives before the repair process is initiated, which we may discard at our sole discretion 30 days from customer being notified that your product has been serviced
Full payment is due upon completion of services, upgrades, or repairs. Hardware and software that are ordered on a special order must be paid in full in advance. DrTech accepts checks, and credit cards, also apple pay, Samsung pay and google pay are accepted.
